MembersMembership in the OpenPGP Alliance is open to any company, organization, or individual interested in developing products or offering services based on the OpenPGP standard. Current MembersOn the left of the page you will see a list of companies and organizations that are members of the OpenPGP Alliance. These organizations have developed or are now developing software products that implement the OpenPGP standard, or have committed to OpenPGP in their product roadmaps. They are all contributing to the OpenPGP protocol's decade-long reign as pretty much the only way that the world encrypts email, as well as expanding OpenPGP's ready-made PKI to other applications. Click on the links to see an overview of what each company is doing in this area. They are listed in alphabetical order. (A note from Phil Zimmermann: This web site hasn't been maintained for quite a while. I need someone to volunteer to maintain it, to add new member company pages, and to update it occasionally. Here's the problem: When PGP was languishing in the dungeons of Network Associates, we really needed the OpenPGP Alliance to provide a safe haven for other OpenPGP software alternatives to PGP. When PGP was rescued from NAI in 2003, there was dancing in the streets in the PGP user community. But there was a slight decline in the urgency of keeping the OpenPGP Alliance running at the same high level of activity. I never charged any membership fees for member companies in the OpenPGP Alliance, and without some source of revenue, it's hard to maintain the web site and keep adding new material for companies that want to be listed. Do you want to see this web site spring back to life? Contact Phil and volunteer your time and help maintain it.) |
